Vicinity was filmed on roof gardens or terraces that are commonly seen in the city. These terraces always seem to be at a distance from reality, or places where people daydream. They are also located in an unusual position somewhere between public and private.

In the artwork, we see some objects on the terrace which had mesmerized me. I allowed these margins of reality to each reveal their own peculiar ambiance through air currents, light and space. Watching the video even produces sympathetic bodily sensations.
